Turkish Outlet Agency track report that the first official transfer offers for Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu have come in, with the two most serious offers coming from Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.
According to the report, Arsenal have made a bid of €20 million (£16.9 million) for the defender, while Dortmund have offered €25 million (£21.1 million).
However, both clubs were rebuffed and Fenerbahce president Ali Koc informed them that they would only consider a transfer for an offer between €35-40 million (£29.6-33.8 million).
Ajansspor reports that Kadioglu has serious offers from Arab countries in addition to Arsenal and Dortmund, but he is not currently considering a move in that direction.
This is not the first report of an offer from Arsenal. Turkish media outlet Milliyet also claimed that the Gunners had made a bid of €20 million.
TRTSpor reported earlier this year that Arsenal were finally increasing their interest in Kadioglu and according to Turkish media, this appears to be the case.
However, none of these reports have been confirmed by English journalists so far, and Turkish media have often mentioned Arsenal’s name as a possible candidate for high-profile players who were about to leave the country.
Kadioglu played 51 games for Fenerbahce this season, playing predominantly as a left-back but also playing fairly regularly as a right-back.
The defender scored three goals and provided five assists in these 51 club matches. He is also a Turkish international and played 90 minutes against Georgia at the 2024 European Championship on Tuesday.
