Jadon Sancho has reportedly returned to training at Manchester United after “positive” talks with coach Erik ten Hag.
Sancho was left out of United’s squad and trained outside the first team by the Dutch manager last season after a row erupted following Man Utd’s defeat to Arsenal in September 2023. According to Ten Hag, the winger was not selected for the first team due to his performances in training.
Sancho impressed in Germany, scoring three goals in 21 appearances in the second half of the 2023/24 season.
Ahead of the new season, journalist Fabrizio Romano said Sancho and Ten Hag had ironed out past issues in a face-to-face meeting. The pair were photographed at Carrington on Thursday.
“Jadon Sancho had a positive face-to-face meeting with Erik ten Hag this week and they clarified the situation,” Romano wrote on social media on Friday.

“Both Ten Hag and Sancho have agreed to end their differences and move on. Jadon is available for the pre-season games. He is now back in training.”
United travel to Norway for a friendly against Rosenborg on Monday before facing Rangers in Scotland five days later.
Ten Hag and his team will then fly to the USA to play against Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool. In between there will be a duel with La Liga team Real Betis.
United conclude their pre-season preparations with the Community Shield against rivals Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.
Sancho moved from Dortmund to Man Utd in July 2021 for £73 million.
Since his arrival, the England international has made 82 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists.
