By the way, about following the events of the films… From the older version, they cut out the level on the island of Cannibals from “Dead Man’s Chest"(Where in the younger version there was a rather funny boss battle and a spectacular river rafting scene). And we have 12 levels in the younger version and 11 levels in the older version with scenes from films. Gameplay Differences.
Wow, this is where the authors differed exactly like this. If in the younger version they placed a lot of emphasis on combat, then in the second version there was a lot of emphasis on platforming. In the younger version, a lot of effort has been made to add variety to the combat. This includes a block that can end at the right time, four types of items that you can carry with you, combo attacks, smarter enemies, smooth fencing animation. All this… It’s stupidly absent in the older version. Jackenism.
Everything is short here. In the younger version, Jackenism is a cutscene with QTE, where if you win you get bonuses and points, and if you lose you get a bunch of lyuli. It’s simple. The hero and his opponent have a health circle and a sword indicator. The combat system itself is becoming more advanced. You attack the enemy with the left analog stick. Swing up – strike from above, swing down – make a sweep, move towards the enemy – a powerful lunge. True, from an attack that your opponent quite often dodges, you can lose the initiative and your opponent goes on the attack. You also defend with the analog stick, which has a habit of not counting some of your blocks. The enemy makes the same blows. And at this moment we are waiting for the swordsman’s indicator to be filled, because when it is half filled, it will be possible to seize the initiative in battle. Fill completely – you can carry out a powerful blow. But don’t forget that the enemy also has this indicator, and mistakes when blocking immediately reset your indicator. If you don’t understand the pattern right away, you will lose a lot and often. Fortunately, the checkpoints are placed correctly. Which version of the duel do you like better – decide for yourself, but I like the younger one.
